With an extensive background in home building, remodeling and construction, Rob takes pride in his work and enjoys providing maintenance and cost saving tips to clients during the inspection process. Additionally, his strong communication skills ensure his clients will walk away from a home inspection with one hundred percent confidence and a clear understanding on the condition of the home.
For over 11 years, Will has been providing both residential and commercial home inspections with The BrickKicker. Will’s extensive experience in residential construction coupled with his genuine enthusiasm to educate home buyers about their property is the recipe for success. From his exceptional communication skills to his depth of knowledge, Will has often been complimented for his nurturing style in dealing with some of the most delicate situations.
Since 1995, Bob has been “kicking bricks and taking notes,” bringing a wealth of knowledge to The BrickKicker inspection team. From downtown condos to landmark historical homes in the suburbs, Bob has seen it all. As a former realtor, Bob understands the importance for homebuyers to become educated on their purchase during the inspection process. He finds joy in helping homebuyers to uncover the unique personality of each and every home.
Chris became interested in construction & woodworking since helping his dad build an addition in his house when he was in fourth grade. He worked a variety of trades before, during and after college, focusing on carpentry and cabinetmaking. During his career he has built hundreds of semi-custom homes as Project Manager & Site Superintendent for D.R. Horton Cambridge Homes. Chris has conducted safety inspections and has completed many certifications including those of OSHA, and RCEC, (Residential Construction Education Council). He also oversaw a wide spectrum of remodeling projects throughout Chicagoland for several area builders. Chris owned & operated Design & Build firm where he worked on building new custom homes, room additions, casework & cabinetry, kitchens, baths & basements. He collaborated to start up and run a Chicago non-profit handyman & home improvement service for senior citizens.
Kurt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to The BrickKicker inspection team. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and 30 years of construction management experience with an electric utility company, Kurt understands the in’s and out’s of home inspection. He approaches each home inspection with enthusiasm and has received multiple compliments from buyers for providing them with a comfortable understanding on their new purchase.
With extensive experience as a firefighter, municipal building inspector and home remodeler, Joe has obtained exceptional communication and knowledge allowing him to effectively share his expertise with clients. Additionally, his position as an ITI/Prostar Academy trainer reflects directly into his work as he promotes a “peace of mind” for clients during inspection by teaching clients about home owner maintenance and safety information for their homes.
Greg Domel comes to The BrickKicker with an extensive background in energy audits and environmental health and safety inspections. Approaching nearly 30 years with the Chicago Fire Department, Greg's experiences as Engineer/EMT to Supervising Fire Marshal and Lieutenant has built his inner passion to take care of people and the well being of the environment around them. Greg carries with him a love of buildings and the opportunity to consult clients on making sound and safe buying decisions with the home. His calm and collected approach to each inspection has quickly won the hearts of clients and agents alike.
Home inspections has been a passion for Rob since 1989. He has completed over 9000 inspections and that number is still growing. He does not have any specific specialties but loves to work with first time home buyers and with older and historic homes. Rob has been training home inspectors for The BrickKicker and other Nationally recognized training leaders since 1995 and has helped over 500 inspectors launch their inspection careers. Rob is licensed in Illinois and has the distinction of holding the first license issued. He was a two-time President of the Northern Illinois Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors, a nine year member of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Advisor Board of Home Inspectors, a one year President of the Illinois Home Inspectors Association and one term Director of Training for the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Home Inspectors. Helping others achieving their dream of home ownership intelligently. Understanding the position of the home inspector and the goals of the home inspection is a particular skill that Rob processes and understands.
Andrew brings a great deal of accomplishments to The BrickKicker family. Winning the hearts of many over the years, Andrew has a plethora of background experiences, which have ultimately, lead him to success. Andrew served six years in the U.S. Air Force while tending to his undergrad studies in Hotel Management. During the last 12 years, Andrew has had the opportunity to work for companies including The Walt Disney Company, Target and Marriott; all places where he has been able to apply his leadership and detail oriented skills learned in the Air Force. Additionally, Andrew has begun work towards his Graduate Studies in Architecture, allowing him to meld his passion for buildings with the love of assisting others. He has completed a series of intense instruction and licensing to become a property inspector and ASHI Certified Inspector and has acquired a great deal of property knowledge that he is eager to share with clients.
Kathy is the Radon Professional for the BrickKicker. She is licensed for residential and commercial radon measurements and also provides field training for students earning their radon license at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She has 11 years of radon experience and has done thousands of radon measurements in the Chicago metropolitan area. Her strengths are her attention to detail as well as serving the BrickKicker customers with a sense of urgency. With her friendly demeanor and strong communication skills, she is happy to explain the radon story to her customers. This helps the client to feel comfortable and informed in there new home. Prior to coming to the BrickKicker, Kathy has developed years of sales experience as a manufactures representative selling to multiple business headquarters such as Kohl’s, Macy’s, Wanamaker’s, Hecht’s, Target, Shopko, and many more.
Linda Nicholson is a Licensed Radon Technician. She has been with Brickkicker for over a year and has over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. Because of her background, she understands the importance of outstanding customer service. Linda enjoys sharing her knowledge of radon with each client and goes out of her way to make every transaction as stress free as possible.
